Craig, the founder of Naked Dog, didn’t just know meat—he lived it. With over 50 years of experience in the butchery trade, he understood the ins and outs of quality, sourcing, and nutrition better than most. But Craig wasn’t just a master butcher—he was a lifelong dog lover. And somewhere between sharpening his knives and sneaking treats to his own pups, he started to see something was missing in the world of dog food.
Most pet food, he realised, was packed with fillers, artificial nonsense, and mystery ingredients that didn’t belong anywhere near a dog bowl. So he set out to change it. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just real, honest food that dogs were meant to eat.
And so, Naked Dog was born—stripped back, clean, and full of goodness. Every recipe Craig curated was crafted with purpose, designed to support dogs of every shape, size, and stage of life. Whether bounding puppies, sensitive seniors, or the pickiest of eaters, his mission was simple: feed them well.
Today, Naked Dog has grown into a business run by dog owners, for dog owners. We're a passionate pack of people who believe that great nutrition is the key to a great life—for our pets and for us. With the support of our over 500 independent pet shops, we’re now serving over 150,000 meals a week to dogs across the country. That’s a lot of happy tummies and tails.
But even as we’ve grown, we’ve never strayed from our roots. Quality comes first. Always. From farm to bowl, every Naked Dog meal reflects Craig’s original vision: premium, natural ingredients that dogs actually thrive on.
