Dog Feeding Guide
Original Naked Dog, The Complete Raw Dog Food!

The range that started it all! Our Naked Dog Original complete raw dog food range is packed full of essential proteins and nutrients to give your dog everything it needs and nothing it doesn’t!

The word Complete has historically been attributed to several types of raw dog food meals.
You may be wondering what on earth Complete really means, and how can you ensure your dog is getting everything they need from its raw food.
The truth is for pet food to be sold commercially with the title Complete it needs to meet the nutritional guidelines set out by the EU. These are known as the Fediaf guidelines and contain a minimum and a maximum for a set of nutrients deemed essential for dogs, puppies, or even cats. This all applies to cat food too!

Raw Dog Food - Frequently Asked Question
All dogs have the same digestive system regardless of shape, size or breed; so yes, raw is great for any dogs. It is never too late to switch a dog to fresh food either.
The food is quite safe to keep in the fridge. It will last the same time frame as your own meat does in your individual fridge. This is usually 3-4 days. Always follow the same hygiene rules as your own human grade raw meat. After preparation, always wash down surfaces with an anti-bacterial cleaner and thoroughly wash your hands.

Naked Dog meals meet the Fediaf guidelines and thus we can trade legally letting you know on labels that our food is Complete and Balanced.
The exception would be our Pure range. These meat-only meals do not meet the Fediaf guidelines, so to provide these wonderfully nourishing meals to your dogs, they need to be labeled as Complementary. At Naked Dog we have been committed to you, all and ensured our meals meet the Complete guidelines through fresh, whole foods alone. No nutrients have been artificially supplemented.

Why is Raw Dog Food Good for Your Dog?

Any dog diet, regardless of the type, should be a complete, balanced diet of high-quality, specifically designed for your dog’s age. The life stage of a dog is a very important aspect to consider when choosing a dog food. And to an extent, the breed, health issues, body condition, and lifestyle too play a part in determining the dog food as well. For example, puppies will require a diet that contains a high protein content that will aid their rapid growth and development. In contrast, older dogs will benefit from a diet that will their ailments such as obesity or joint issues.

There are different types of dog food in the market as well, and different dogs will prefer a different type of dog food. As an example, some dogs like dry food while others find wet food more to their liking. Some dogs even have a favourite flavour and often won’t eat without it. When you do find a diet that your pooch likes, make sure you don’t chop and change, and you stick with it because that can lead to stomach upsets.
